Feasibility Study and Full Technical
Project:
Access Ramps

General Information:
Discussions with the planners were quite involved because the building is Listed (Grade 2). Early ideas for ramps at the front entrance could not be agreed, but re-grading the ground to provide a slope flatter than 1:20 (which then counts as "flat") proved acceptable (and probably cheaper).
Clients Needs:
To overcome the stepped approaches to the building.

Funding:
The project cost £7,500. Most of this was covered by a grant from Liverpool City Council.
Completion:
The ramp was completed in September 2002.
