Project:
Community Art project to produce a sculpture for the plinth at St. Aidan's church in Speke.
General Information:
The design for the sculpture was created in a series of workshops for local young people and were held by the artist Steve des Landes. It shows the different elements of the community brought together in the design of a Celtic cross
Clients Needs:
To improve the aesthetics of the area and involve the local community to make the sculpture robust and safe to allow for unsupervised use.
Funding:
The Speke Garston Partnership and Shell Better Britain.
Completion:
The end of this year.
