Conversion of a church hall to a support centre
General Information:
KDVSS required a headquarters building as well as drop-in for self-help and support services, plus a training facility (for statutory agencies as well as for users and the organisations own staff). The various kinds of building users need to be carefully managed with separate areas available to each without interference with each other.

Funding:
50% of the capital budget has come from New Opportunities Fund, and matching funding from ERDF.
The project has a parallel revenue funding stream from the Community Fund. Knowsley Borough Council is acting as the project sponsor
Completion:
KDVSS first approached Comtechsa to explore the possibilities is of using this building in 1998. It has taken a lot of persistence to see the funding finally delivered. The project was completed in July 2005.
