Converting reception space to a new Irish Heritage room.

General Information:
St. Michael's Irish Centre is a registered charity. It provides facilities for the local community as well as cultural activities for the Irish Community.

Clients Needs:
The Irish have been in Liverpool since about the year 1200. It was the ideal location for a port to serve Ireland. Between 1847-51 during the potato famine, 1.3 million people arrived in Liverpool from Ireland. To celebrate the historical link between Ireland and Liverpool, the Heritage Centre is proposed.

Funding:
To be sought from Irish Government, community and the people. Estimated cost £30,000.00
Completion:
Target Date: Summer 2006.
