Roof repairs to a listed building.

General Information:
The Wavertree Garden Suburb Institute in Thingwall Road was converted out of two 18th century farm cottages, and opened in 1912 as a "temporary club house" to serve the residents of Wavertree. It has remained open almost continuously as a venue for social gatherings, musical entertainment and drama to this day.

Clients Needs:
The roof structure and the slate roof of this Grade II Listed Building needed structural repairs, timber treatment and re-roofing to give the building a new lease of life.

Funding:
The project has been funded by the Group's own resources and the Wavertree Society. Project cost £ 15,000.
Completion:
Completion Date: March 2006.
